Nilsson L. & Persson H. (1991) An increasing breeding population of Greylag Geese Anser anser in southern Sweden - a neck-banding study. ARDEA 79 (2): 239-242
The paper reports on preliminary studies of a neck-banded Greylag Goose Anser anser population in SW Skane, south Sweden. From 1979 to 1988 the population increased from 35 to 297 pairs. General data on migration, wintering areas, moulting areas and survival are presented. The overwinter mortality was 10% for breeding adults and 37% for yearlings.
